St. Sava - 02/05/17
We were honored this year with Boris (Bati) and Lori Bajich as Kum and Kuma along with their three children Marijana, Luka, and Sarah. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your St. Nicholas family - well deserved! It was also a fitting occasion to thank all of our St. Nicholas Church School teachers for each of their hard work. In summary, the blessing of the Slavski Kolach, banquet and children's program each brought their enrichment through the Holy Spirit.
Reflection After 111 Years - 11/13/16
His Grace, the newly-enthroned Bishop of our Eastern American Diocese, Irinej, made his first visit here to St. Nicholas when we celebrated our church's 111th anniversary! It was a joyous occasion and we were so honored His Grace spent the day with our parish family.
Sveti Sava Srpska Slava - 01/25/15
We are thankful and wish to again congratulate this year's Saint Sava Kumovi: Karl & Carla Williamson, along with their two beautiful daughters Brynn & Shea. The day was a joyous celebration of the life & teachings of Sveti Sava featuring the talented recitals of our St. Nicholas Church School children. We would also like to thank the dedicated hard work of all our Church School teachers along with the directress of the Junior Choir, beloved Mrs. Mitzi Vukic.
Honoring four distinct St. Nicholas members - 11/16/14
Following enlightening words from guest speaker Mr. Mark Zivkovich, President Dennis (Dushy) Evanovich and V. Rev. Father Dragoljub C. 4th Sunday - Lenten Vespers - 04/14/13
Following Lenten Vespers on Sunday April 14th, and a wonderful meal prepared by our Petka Sisters, we were enlightened by a presentation (can be seen HERE!) lead by Dr. Predrag Matejic from Ohio State University about Holy Monastery Hilandar located on Mount Athos. Dr. Matejic discussed the history of Hilandar (built by St. Sava), its importance to the Serbian people, and the fire which destroyed half of Hilandar in March of 2004 (click HERE for video). Furthermore, we were blessed with the presence of His Grace Bishop Dr. Mitrophan. Thank you to all of you who attended and especially for your generous donations which will help in the support of Monastery Hilandar's reconstruction.
Paying it Forward - 07/26/12
